Rewiring International Education
August 13, 20, 27 – 2020

1. Introduction

The Latin American and Caribbean Higher Education Conference on Internationalization (LACHEC) for its 2020 event “Rewiring International Education” aims to energize the discussion on the emerging role of Higher Education in shaping global citizens acting from their own contexts; an education that promotes collaboration, partnership building, innovation and global engagement; a goal that acknowledges the leading role of teaching practices of professors committed to the education of humane changemaker professionals. Therefore, LACHEC invites you to submit your proposals for our conference concurrent sessions by July 15. Session presenters will be benefited with our early registration fee.

4. Concurrent Sessions Format

Online Panel Discussion: One-hour session with up to three presenters and one moderator discussing one common theme. including questions and answers from participants. Panel discussions can consist of:

  • 15-minute individual presentations gathered on a common theme, and one moderator
  • Panel discussion with up to three presenters and one moderator from different institutions

Virtual Workshop: Up to two presenters in more “hands on” online setting, with a previously shared handout. From Forty five minutes to one hour long sessions, including questions and answers from participants.

E-Campfire: Up to two presenters lead an online live discussion among participants. From Forty five minutes to one hour long sessions, may include up to a 15 minute opening.

Languages: Spanish, English and Portuguese
